Mallard Creek is home to some of Northeast Ohio’s most scenic golf holes. The original 18 (the Woods Course) weaves its way through tree-lined fairways while the newest 18 (the Lakes Course) promotes shot placement alongside numerous water hazards.
One of our area’s best-known and well-respected courses, Mallard Creek has something to offer golfers of all kinds. As a result of Michael Hurdzan’s design (also designed Erin Hills, site of the 2017 US Open), the “four handicapper” goes home unsure how they shot above their usual and the “bogey golfer” finishes feeling good about hitting a lot of good golf shots.
This design has proven to be a perfect balance of challenge and forgiveness, making Mallard Creek the ultimate destination for the Northeast Ohio golfer!
Beyond the meticulously maintained golf course, ‘The Duck’ also features two practice greens, a driving range, recently updated patio, snack bar, pavilions and a full-service restaurant next door, Bootleggers. In 2021, the clubhouse was updated with expanded food and beverage options, more than a dozen new televisions were added for pre and post-round enjoyment and a new golf simulator room was added featuring the world-class TrackMan Golf Simulator.
And you can play any day, any time at Mallard Creek for just $8 per 9 when you join the Fairways Golf Membership!
Note: Although there is a new subdivision being constructed along the Southern border of the golf course, there will be no impact on the golf course itself throughout the entirety of the 2025 Fairways Golf Membership. Mallard Creek will remain a 36-hole facility for the foreseeable future.
Pine Brook Golf Club, originally built in 1960, is one of Lorain County’s best hidden gems when it comes to golf.
Conveniently located a few minutes west of I-480, Pine Brook is easily accessible for any Northeast Ohio golfer. The 18-hole layout places a premium on shot placement and creativity. Some of the best greens in our area await you and your golfing friends at Pine Brook.
The course is a par 70 and measures 6,000 yards from the longest tees. Don’t be fooled though, the 6 par 3’s allow for plenty of length throughout the rest of the course.
The front side at Pine Brook features two of Lorain County’s better golf holes.
The par-4 7th is perhaps the hardest par 4 within the Fairways Family of Courses as it measures more than 425 yards and has a significant dogleg left, complimented by a creek at 150 yards to the pin.
The par-5 9th is the ultimate risk vs. reward hole. Hit a good drive and you may get on in 2, miss right or left and you will be struggling to make par. As the green comes more into play, so too does a narrowing tree line surrounding the green.
Opened in 1967, Briarwood was host to the “Battle at Briarwood” featuring Jack Nicklaus, Miller Barber and Bobby Cole on June 7, 1971.
